The Editors are pleased to announce the publication of Transactions of AESOP 8.1.

This special issue explores whether conformorality plays an important role in planning debates. Conformorality is an intriguing and novel concept that describes the tendency of individuals within a particular group or community to align with specific ideologies and values. The Special Issue breaks new ground by taking an experimental and exploratory approach, aiming to contribute to a more systematic introduction of conformorality into the field planning research. It has emerged from the activities of the AESOP Thematic Group on Ethics, Values, and Planning.
